Four days after Casablanca, the Atlas Lions meet Niger again in Rabat: Tuesday 17 November 2026 at 8pm, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium, on matchday four of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers. The stadium was rebuilt and opened in September 2025, for a Morocco vs Niger World Cup qualifier that sold out.
This time it is a Tuesday: many fans will come after work or classes, by train from Casablanca, Kenitra or Tangier, and the stadium is far from the centre. Here is how to plan between the station, the stadium and your bags.
Short answer
Kick-off is on Tuesday 17 November at 8pm at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium, in the south of Rabat, about 7 km from the centre. Ideally arrive at Rabat-Agdal, the closest station, then take a petit taxi. BoxSpot's Rabat point, Saberbest Place de Russie, is open 9am to 10pm according to its listing: collect a small bag before heading to the stadium, or leave your suitcase until Wednesday. Ticketing had not been announced at the time of writing.
The match at a glance
- Fixture: Niger vs Morocco or Morocco vs Niger depending on the source, matchday four of Group A in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
- Date and time: Tuesday 17 November 2026, kick-off at 8pm (Moroccan time, GMT).
- Venue: Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium, Rabat.
- Why in Morocco: Niger has no approved stadium, according to Afrik-Foot. Options in Accra and Cotonou fell through, and the FRMF offered to host both games.
- The previous game: Friday 13 November in Casablanca, at the Complexe Mohammed V. See our guide to the Casablanca match.
Morocco go into this double header top of Group A, after two 2-0 wins against Gabon and Lesotho.
Tickets: keep an eye out
At the time of writing, nothing is on sale. The FRMF will announce the sale date, prices and platform on its official channels. For the September 2025 match in this same stadium, tickets were sold only on Webook, from 100 MAD to 20,000 MAD, and they went very fast. There is no guarantee it will be the same, but it is a good reason to be ready on opening day. Do not buy tickets resold on social media.
Rabat-Agdal or Rabat-Ville?
Rabat has two main stations, and for this match the difference matters.
- Rabat-Agdal: the Al Boraq station, with trains from Tangier, Kenitra and Casa-Voyageurs. It is the closest to the stadium, about 5 km as the crow flies.
- Rabat-Ville: the central station on Avenue Mohammed V, served by Al Atlas trains. It is about 1.3 km from the BoxSpot point, but further from the stadium.
For the way back, check the time of the last train on oncf-voyages.ma before booking. The match ends around 10pm, then you have to get out of the stadium and back across town: going home the same night is tight, and late trains are few on a Tuesday. For many fans, a night in Rabat is the calmest option.
Getting to the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium
The stadium is in the south of the city, about 7 km from the centre. We found no confirmation of a tram line that drops you at the stadium: the simplest option is a petit taxi (blue in Rabat), from Rabat-Agdal or from the centre.
- On a Tuesday evening, rush-hour traffic adds to the match crowd: leave early and aim to arrive well before kick-off.
- For big matches, shuttles or special transport arrangements are sometimes announced by the authorities or organisers. Check the announcements a few days before.
- After the match, taxis are scarce at the stadium exit: expect to walk a little before finding one, or to wait.
Entry checks restrict large bags: do not come with your suitcase. In October, for the Futsal AFCON in Rabat, we gave day-trip fans the same advice: drop the bag in town before going to the match.
The afternoon before the match, hands-free
If you arrive early in the afternoon, Rabat is easy to explore for a few hours before heading to the stadium. From the BoxSpot point, the medina is about ten minutes on foot, and the Kasbah of the Udayas a little further. Our Rabat and Salé tram itinerary and our guide to a four-hour stopover from the Al Boraq give easy loops to fit in before 6pm.
Where to leave your bags: Saberbest Place de Russie
BoxSpot's partner point is the Saberbest travel agency, at 13 bis Avenue Madagascar, near Place de Russie, in the Océan district. From Rabat-Agdal, allow 8 to 10 minutes by petit taxi; from Rabat-Ville, about 1.3 km. Show your booking at the counter, the agent scans your QR code and takes a time-stamped photo of your bags, which are only handed back against the same QR code.
- Tuesday 17 November: 9am to 10pm.
- Wednesday 18 November: 9am to 10pm.
These are the hours shown on the point's listing at the time of writing: the listing is the reference, so check it when you book.
The honest part: the stadium is about 7 km from the point, and the match ends around 10pm. You will not be able to collect your bags the same night. Either pick them up before going to the stadium, if you only have a small bag that gets through security, or leave them until Wednesday.
How much it costs
9 MAD per hour per bag, 4-hour minimum (36 MAD). An hourly booking never costs more than 59 MAD for the first bag for the day, and each following day is 39 MAD. An extra bag costs 49 MAD on day one, then 39 MAD a day.
| Situation | Price |
|---|---|
| Early-afternoon arrival: drop at 1:30pm, collect at 5:30pm (4 hours), 1 bag | 36 MAD |
| Suitcase left from Tuesday to Wednesday morning | 59 + 39 = 98 MAD |
| Two suitcases, Tuesday to Wednesday | 98 + 88 = 186 MAD |
| Longer stay: suitcase left 3 days, Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 | 59 + 39 + 39 = 137 MAD |
Payment online, by card, in dirhams. The exact price is shown before you pay on the Saberbest Place de Russie page.
Going to both matches?
There are four days between Friday in Casablanca and Tuesday in Rabat. Casa-Voyageurs and Rabat-Agdal are linked by the Al Boraq, and Al Atlas trains also run between the two cities. The simplest plan: stay near one of the two stadiums and make a train round trip for the other match, leaving your bags at the point in the city where you spend the day. All points are on the Rabat luggage storage page and on the Casablanca page.
Tuesday in Rabat, without the suitcase
Saberbest, 13 bis Avenue Madagascar, near Place de Russie: 8 to 10 minutes by taxi from Rabat-Agdal. Open 9am to 10pm according to the point's listing. From 9 MAD per hour per bag.
