The 13th edition of Visa For Music brings music professionals from Africa and the Middle East to Rabat. The market takes place at the Théâtre Mohammed V, a short walk from the train station. Here is how to plan your arrival and your last day with luggage.
Key Takeaways
The 13th edition of Visa For Music takes place in Rabat from 18 to 21 November 2026.
The professional market is held at the Théâtre Mohammed V from 19 to 21 November, 10am to 6pm.
The theatre is a few minutes' walk from Rabat-Ville station.
A drop-off point in the Océan district is open from 9am to 10pm, except on Wednesdays when it closes at 4pm: note that 18 November is a Wednesday.
Visa For Music, described by its organisers as the leading market for music from Africa and the Middle East, holds its 13th edition in Rabat from 18 to 21 November 2026. Showcases, a professional forum, exhibitor stands: the organisers expect more than 1,500 professionals from around fifty countries.
For most of them, the schedule looks like this: arrive by train or plane, go from meeting to meeting, and on the last day hand back the room at noon while the flight or train leaves in the evening. That last day is the one people plan badly.
Short answer
The professional market is held at the Théâtre Mohammed V, from 19 to 21 November, 10am to 6pm, a few minutes' walk from Rabat-Ville station. On the last day, leave your suitcase in the Océan district (open until 10pm) rather than dragging it around the fair. One catch: the point closes at 4pm on Wednesdays, and 18 November is a Wednesday.
The schedule, day by day
Wednesday 18 November: opening of the edition. Many participants arrive that day.
Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 November: professional market at the Théâtre Mohammed V, 10am to 6pm, with the forum and the showcases.
Saturday 21 November: last day, and for many the day they leave.
The detailed showcase programme and venues are published on the official Visa For Music website: that is the source to check for evening times.
Getting to Rabat
By train
Get off at Rabat-Ville, not Rabat-Agdal: it is the central station, and the Théâtre Mohammed V is a few minutes' walk away. From Casablanca the journey is short; from Tangier, the Al Boraq also stops in Rabat.
By plane
Rabat-Salé airport is gaining routes this winter: Ryanair is opening seven new routes there for the 2026 season, including Stockholm and Krakow. Central Rabat is then a taxi ride away. If you are comparing with Casablanca Mohammed V, add the train to Rabat. We cover the options in our Rabat-Salé airport guide.
The three moments when your suitcase gets in the way
Arriving before check-in. You arrive at 10am, the room is ready at 2pm, and your first meeting is at 11am.
Changing hotels. One night here, two nights there, and a day at the fair in between.
The last day. Check-out at noon, market until 6pm, then a dinner or a showcase before the evening train or flight.
A hotel will often keep its guests' luggage, but not always beyond the day of departure, and not if you are staying in a rental. A trade fair is not there to look after your suitcases.
