From Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 November 2026, Tangier hosts the MEDays Forum, the international gathering organised by the Amadeus Institute. If you are going for work, logistics matter almost as much as the agenda: arriving by Al Boraq or by plane, checking out on the last day, then lasting until an evening train or flight with a suitcase and a laptop bag. Here are the essentials, without detours.
Short answer
MEDays 2026 takes place from 25 to 28 November at the Palais des Arts et de la Culture in Tangier, avenue Mohammed VI, on the Malabata corniche. On the last day, if you leave in the evening, leave your suitcase in town: RS Valises, a 3-minute walk from the Grand Socco, is open daily from 11am to 11pm; Anabelle Para, about 1 km from Tanger-Ville station, is open daily from 3pm to 10pm. Price: 9 MAD per hour per bag, 4-hour minimum, never more than 59 MAD for the first bag for the day.
MEDays 2026: dates, venue, theme
- Dates: Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 November 2026.
- Venue: Palais des Arts et de la Culture, avenue Mohammed VI, Malabata corniche, Tangier.
- Organiser: the Amadeus Institute, an independent Moroccan think tank.
- Theme: "Fragmented world: the time for choices".
On the forum’s official website, the organisers announce more than 8,000 participants and more than 300 speakers from over 120 countries. According to Mag Actu Events, this is the 18th edition, and the first day is devoted to the MEDays Investment Summit, focused on investment and public-private partnerships. Registration is for accredited delegates only: this is not a public event.
Getting to Tangier: Al Boraq or plane
- By train: Al Boraq links Casa-Voyageurs, Rabat-Agdal and Kénitra to Tanger-Ville, its terminus. Timetables and tickets on oncf-voyages.ma; during a major forum, book early.
- By plane: from Ibn Battouta airport, take a taxi into town. A rail link to the airport is planned but not running: see our article train between Tanger-Ville and Ibn Battouta airport.
- In town: the Palais des Arts et de la Culture is on the corniche, on the Malabata side, where many large hotels are. The historic centre is further away: our article on the corniche hotels explains how to avoid back-and-forth trips.
The last day: noon check-out, evening departure
This is the classic business-trip scenario. The forum ends on Saturday 28 November, the hotel wants the room back around noon, and your train or flight leaves in the evening. Two honest options:
- The hotel luggage room: if your hotel keeps bags and you are passing by anyway, that is the simplest solution.
- A BoxSpot point in town: useful if you want to spend the afternoon in the centre, in the medina or at a meeting, and head straight to the station or airport without going back to the hotel.
Two BoxSpot points, depending on your route
- RS Valises, near the Gran Teatro Cervantes: rue Amérique du Sud, about a 3-minute walk from the Grand Socco and under 10 minutes from Tanger Ville port. Open daily from 11am to 11pm. The right choice after a noon check-out: drop off, enjoy the medina and a last dinner, and leave late.
- Anabelle Para, near the Plaza de Toros: Hay Alia district, about 1 km from Tanger-Ville station. Open daily from 3pm to 10pm only. Ideal if you drop off in the late afternoon and catch an evening train: the station is close by.
Note: Anabelle Para only opens at 3pm. If you leave the hotel at noon, use RS Valises instead, or keep your suitcase until 3pm.
How the drop-off works
You book and pay online, in dirhams, by card. On site, you show your booking: the partner scans your QR code and takes a timestamped photo of your bags. To collect them, you show the same QR code: bags are only handed back against that code.
Three situations, three prices
Noon check-out, evening train
You drop your suitcase at RS Valises at 12:30pm and collect it at 6:30pm for a train around 7:30pm: 6 hours, so 54 MAD for one bag. Allow for a petit taxi to Tanger-Ville.
Last session, then a train from Tanger-Ville
You drop off at Anabelle Para at 3:30pm and come back at 8:30pm before walking to the station: 5 hours, so 45 MAD for one bag.
A late-evening flight
Drop-off at noon, pick-up at 8pm before the taxi to Ibn Battouta: 8 hours. Beyond 7 hours, an hourly booking is capped: 59 MAD for one bag. With a second bag, it is 59 + 49 = 108 MAD.
Practical tips for business travellers
- Keep your laptop, passport, accreditation badge and documents with you: only drop off what you do not need.
- Payment is online, in dirhams, by card: your booking confirmation is your record.
- Check your exact train time on oncf-voyages.ma and leave margin for the taxi: the corniche can be busy.
- For a flight, leave for the airport well in advance: the taxi ride depends on traffic.
