October 20, 2026
7 min read
Checking out at noon, leaving in the evening? Online tickets, official opening hours, two timed itineraries and the two places to leave your bags in Marrakech so you can see the Jardin Majorelle hands-free.
Key Takeaways
Jardin Majorelle and YSL museum tickets are sold online only, at tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, for a chosen date and time.
Official hours on 21 October 2026: garden 8am to 5:30pm daily, YSL museum 10am to 6pm except Wednesday.
Bags: Bazar Posterre near Ben Youssef (closed Sunday) or the Bab Aghmat hair salon (daily, 9am to 5pm).
9 MAD per hour per bag, 4-hour minimum (36 MAD), never more than 59 MAD for the day for the first bag.
It's your last day in Marrakech. The riad wants the room back around 11am or noon, your flight or train only leaves in the evening, and the Jardin Majorelle is still on your list. The good news: the visit fits in half a day. The less good news: it doesn't work with a suitcase. Here's how to plan it, with the official opening hours and two timed itineraries.
Short answerTickets for the Jardin Majorelle and the Yves Saint Laurent museum are sold online only, at tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, for a set date and time. On 21 October 2026 the official sites listed: garden open daily from 8am to 5:30pm, YSL museum from 10am to 6pm except Wednesday. For your bags: Bazar Posterre, near the Medersa Ben Youssef (11am to 11pm, 10pm on Friday, closed Sunday), or the hair salon at Bab Aghmat (every day, 9am to 5pm). From 9 MAD per hour per bag.
Tickets: online only, for a time slot
The Fondation Jardin Majorelle no longer sells tickets at the gate. You buy them on its official ticketing site, tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, which issues a ticket with a QR code. You pick the date and time of your visit, and can choose the garden alone, the Yves Saint Laurent museum, the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts or a combined ticket. Prices appear as you select: trust those rather than figures quoted on blogs.
The official site warns that tickets bought from unauthorised websites will not get you into the garden or the museums. On a departure day, book the day before at the latest and choose a slot that leaves you some slack.
Hours shown on the official sites on 21 October 2026 (they can change, for example during Ramadan):Jardin Majorelle: every day from 8am to 5:30pm, last entry 5pm.Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts, inside the garden: 8:30am to 5pm, last entry 4:30pm.Yves Saint Laurent museum: 10am to 6pm, closed on Wednesday, last entry 5:30pm.
Why to go without your suitcase
The garden paths are narrow and busy, and most people go straight on to the museum. Several ticket resellers state that suitcases and large bags are not allowed. The foundation's site doesn't spell this out, but don't count on a cloakroom taking a suitcase. The easy answer: drop it beforehand and keep a small bag with your passport, water and phone.
Where the garden is, compared with the medina
The garden is not in the medina: it lies to the northwest, on the Guéliz side, with the YSL museum right next door on rue Yves Saint Laurent. As the crow flies, worked out from coordinates:
about 2.2 km from Jemaa el-Fna square;about 1.9 km from Bazar Posterre, near the Medersa Ben Youssef;about 3.5 km from the Bab Aghmat hair salon.
So a petit taxi is the obvious way to get there. Remember that taxis can't enter the medina's alleys: they drop you at the nearest point a car can reach, often near one of the gates.
Which drop-off point to choose
Bazar Posterre, 34 Kaat Benahid, 3 minutes from the Medersa Ben Youssef: Monday to Thursday and Saturday 11am to 11pm, Friday 11am to 10pm, closed on Sunday. The right pick if you leave in the evening and want to end the day in the northern medina.Bab Aghmat hair salon, southeast of the medina: every day from 9am to 5pm. The only option on a Sunday, or to drop off before 11am; collect before 5pm. Follow the directions in your booking to find it.
At either point, staff scan your booking's QR code and photograph your bags with the drop-off time. They are only handed back against that same QR code.
