Marrakech bus stations, CTM and Supratours: where to leave your bags before or after the bus

CTM, Supratours, and Bab Doukkala replaced by Al Azzouzia since July 2026: where Marrakech's bus stations are, how to reach the medina and where to leave your bags between the bus and the riad.
Key Takeaways
CTM has its own station on Rue Abou Bakr Seddik (Guéliz), about 450 m from the ONCF station; Supratours is right next to the ONCF station.
Since the night of 23 to 24 July 2026, Bab Doukkala no longer handles coaches and Al Azzouzia in the northwest has replaced it: check the departure point on your ticket.
No BoxSpot point inside the stations: use Bazar Posterre (11am to 11pm, 10pm Fridays, closed Sundays) or Bab Aghmat (9am to 5pm daily).
9 MAD per hour per bag, 4-hour minimum (36 MAD), capped at 59 MAD for the day.
Arriving in Marrakech on a CTM or Supratours coach, or leaving on a night bus? Between getting off the bus and checking into your riad, or between check-out and an evening departure, there are often several hours to fill with a suitcase. And in 2026 one change matters: the historic Bab Doukkala bus station has not handled coaches since late July. Here is where each station is, how to get to the medina and where to leave your bags in the meantime.
Short answerCTM has its own station on Rue Abou Bakr Seddik in Guéliz, about 450 metres from the railway station. The Supratours station is right next to the ONCF train station on Avenue Hassan II. Since the night of 23 to 24 July 2026, public coaches use the new Al Azzouzia bus station in the northwest of the city: Bab Doukkala no longer has departures or arrivals. None of these stations has a BoxSpot point. For your bags there are two points in town: Bazar Posterre near the Medersa Ben Youssef (11am to 11pm, 10pm on Fridays, closed on Sundays) and a hair salon near Bab Aghmat (9am to 5pm every day). From 9 MAD per hour per bag.
Three stations, three addresses
The CTM station in Guéliz
CTM runs its own station in Marrakech, on Rue Abou Bakr Seddik in the Guéliz district. It is about 450 metres as the crow flies from the railway station, so if you step off a train to catch a CTM coach, you can make the connection on foot.
The Supratours station, next to the ONCF station
Supratours, the coach subsidiary of ONCF, has its station right beside Marrakech railway station on Avenue Hassan II. It is the company many travellers use for Essaouira or Agadir. Its coaches leave from the same hub as the trains, in Guéliz, outside the medina.
Bab Doukkala replaced by Al Azzouzia
For decades the main bus station stood at the foot of the ramparts at Bab Doukkala. Not any more: a decree published in the Official Bulletin on 23 July 2026 requires public coaches serving Marrakech to use the new Al Azzouzia station, which opened on the night of 23 to 24 July. According to the local press, Bab Doukkala no longer has departures, arrivals or ticket sales. Al Azzouzia is in the northwest of the city, much further from the medina and Guéliz. A grand taxi rank has been set up there and urban bus lines serve it; ask on site for line numbers and times.
Check your ticket. The change is recent and not every online guide is up to date. We could not confirm whether CTM and Supratours departures have changed since Al Azzouzia opened. Read the departure point printed on your ticket and, if in doubt, ask the company before you set off, especially for a night bus.
Getting from the station to the medina
The CTM and Supratours stations are in Guéliz, about 3 km as the crow flies from Jemaa el-Fna square. On foot with a suitcase that is a long way: a petit taxi, beige in Marrakech, is the easy option. Ask for the meter or agree on the fare before getting in.
Taxis cannot enter the lanes. The driver drops you at the nearest point a car can reach, often near one of the medina gates, and you walk the rest. Ask your riad where to be dropped, or whether someone can meet you.Distances as the crow flies from the Supratours station: about 3.2 km to Bazar Posterre and about 4.4 km to the Bab Aghmat point. From the CTM station, add roughly 100 metres. From Al Azzouzia the trip is much longer: take a taxi and allow time, especially when a full coach arrives.
Where to leave your bags: the two BoxSpot points
BoxSpot is not located in any Marrakech bus station. Its two points are near the medina, and their hours complement each other:
Bazar Posterre, near the Medersa Ben Youssef: a shop at 34 Kaat Benahid in the northern medina, about ten minutes on foot from Jemaa el-Fna. Open Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm, Friday from 11am to 10pm, closed on Sundays. The right choice before an evening bus.Hair salon near Bab Aghmat: about a 3-minute walk from the Bab Aghmat gate, outside the walls southeast of the medina, in an area cars can reach. Open every day from 9am to 5pm, Sundays included. The right choice on a Sunday or for an early arrival.
Arriving by coach before riad check-in
A night coach often arrives early in the morning, before either point opens. The Bab Aghmat point opens at 9am and Bazar Posterre at 11am. Have breakfast near the station or ask your riad whether it can hold your suitcase, then drop it at opening time and explore hands-free. On Sundays only Bab Aghmat is open. To plan the rest of your morning, our article on arriving in Marrakech before your riad check-in has a detailed plan.
Before a night bus
Monday to Saturday, Bazar Posterre lets you keep your bags into the evening: 11pm at the latest, 10pm on Fridays. On Sundays it is closed, and the Bab Aghmat point closes at 5pm, so you need to collect your suitcase in the late afternoon. Either way, leave a comfortable margin between pickup and departure time, to walk to a road where taxis pass and then cross the city to the station.
Three situations, three calculations
CTM coach on Saturday morning, check-in at 3pm
You get off the coach around 10am. A petit taxi to the medina, drop at Bazar Posterre at 11am, collect at 3pm: 4 hours, so 36 MAD for one bag, the minimum for an hourly booking.
Check-out at noon, night bus at 9pm on a Tuesday
Drop at Bazar Posterre around 12.15pm, collect around 7.45pm to leave time to reach the station: about seven and a half hours. Beyond 7 hours, an hourly booking is capped at the day price: 59 MAD for one bag.
A Sunday, Supratours coach at 6.30pm
Bazar Posterre is closed, so head to Bab Aghmat. Drop at 11.30am, collect at 4.45pm, then a taxi to the Supratours station, about 4.4 km as the crow flies. Just over 5 hours: book 6 hours, so 54 MAD for one bag.
