Coach to Marrakech, Essaouira or Dakhla: where to leave your bags in Agadir until departure

You leave your accommodation at noon, your coach to Marrakech, Essaouira, Tiznit or Dakhla leaves late afternoon or overnight, and you are looking for left luggage «at the station». First useful fact, and it surprises a lot of travellers: Agadir has no railway station. The ONCF network stops at Marrakech, and everything leaving Agadir leaves by coach. Short answer No station means no station locker. The closest thing is a BoxSpot partner point in the centre, about 800 metres from the CTM coach station (Talborjt district) and 950 metres from the beach. 9 MAD an hour per bag, 59 MAD a day maximum, booked online. You then walk to your coach. How you actually leave Agadir CTM — the main national operator, with its station in Talborjt, right in the centre. Departures to Marrakech, Casablanca, Essaouira, Laayoune and Dakhla. Supratours — ONCF's road arm, in the same central area. Its selling point is the combined coach + train ticket: the coach takes you to Marrakech station to continue by rail to Casablanca, Rabat or Tangier. Inezgane — the big regional bus station about 13 km south of Agadir, where most grands taxis and private companies leave for Taroudant, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni or the Souss valley. Allow twenty minutes from the centre. In all three cases the problem is identical: departure is late in the day, the room goes back at noon, and five or six hours sit in between. Storage ten minutes' walk from CTM BoxSpot does not install lockers; the network runs on partner businesses. In Agadir the point is right in the centre, with staff on site and CCTV. In practice: Book online — exact address, opening hours and price appear before you pay. Drop off — the shopkeeper scans your QR code and takes a timestamped photo of your bags. Collect — only with that QR code, then a ten-minute walk to the CTM station. Price: 9 MAD an hour per bag, capped at 59 MAD a day. Five hours for one bag comes to 45 MAD — less than a return taxi to fetch your things from somewhere else. The traps of a departure day in Agadir The night coach. Long-distance runs — Dakhla, Laayoune, Casablanca — often leave late. The drop-off point closes in the early evening, earlier on Saturday, and does not open on Sunday. Collect before it closes and wait at the station: that is the one thing to watch, and setting collection at 5:30 or 6pm solves it. Leaving from Inezgane. Add twenty minutes of road from the centre, so collect earlier. Tickets. On busy routes — Marrakech, Essaouira, weekends and holidays — buy the day before, online or at the counter. A lost seat turns a gained afternoon into an unplanned night. Hold luggage. Some companies charge a supplement for bags in the hold. Nothing to do with storage, but it is the kind of detail that shifts an end-of-trip budget. What to do with those hours From the drop-off point everything is walkable: the beach about 950 metres away, Souk El Had 1.5 km (closed Mondays) for last argan and spice shopping, the seafront promenade, the fishing port and its grills, and the Agadir Oufella kasbah by cable car for the view over the bay. One good rule: keep the last hour before departure for a real meal. Southbound long-distance coaches do not stop often, and a station sandwich never beats fish from the port.
